Fans Pump New Blood Into Forks
The secret’s out! Forks is CRAWLING with Twilight fans. Even the Seattle Times is fanning the fire with its recent front page article featuring Forks and Twilighters. The article, which appeared Sunday, July 27th, includes a set of photos taken in Forks and the surrounding area.The article quotes the Chamber’s own Visitor Center Manager, Mike Gurling, who serves as tour guide on the mostly sold-out Twilight Tours offered by the Chamber, as well as Chamber Director Marcia Bingham and other Forks notables. It highlights places that are quickly becoming tourist attractions such as the Miller Tree er, I mean the Cullen House, Dr. Cullen’s parking spot at the Forks Community Hospital and other local hot spots.
Part of the focus of the article is on the “far flung” nature of Twilighters coming to Forks, in the sense that they are traveling from around the world to visit. It mentions visitors from Australia, Germany, Ireland and Spain, among other locales.
Forks welcomes all Twilight fans! But be sure to plan some extra time to check out our incredible forests, rivers and beaches while you’re here!

I am a HUGE Twilight fan. Unfortunately I live in MAINE, so I don’t get to the west coast like, ever. I am really hoping I can get out there and see it up close instead of just in my mind or in pictures sometime soon, maybe for Bella’s Birthday.

Hmmm…My family and I are going to visit Port Angeles, Forks and La Push to possibly look for a house in Port Angeles), and I just wondered if maybe the people there in Forks and La Push might get a little annoyed with all of the…Craziness that comes with Twilighters…?

Just wondering…how many tourists do you think come through a week, just to see “twilight’s” Forks? I heard the city has even bought a replica of “Bella’s” truck to place in the school parking lot! Is that true?
Hilary-lots of Twilighters are visiting Forks right now. The Chamber of Commerce Visitor’s Center (at the south end of town on Highway 101) is seeing hundreds of visitors daily. We’d love to see more!! Yes, Bella’s truck is parked out in front at the Visitor’s Center. It wasn’t actually purchased by the city, but was a community effort. Great photo-op!! ~Cari
We were just in Forks a week ago and it is gorgeous! The beaches were amazing.

My friend Dana and I are planning a trip up the weekend of October 10th and we are soooooo excited. We’re completly obsessed with the Twilight series. We plan on taking the twilight tour, going to first beach and hopefully going hiking. WE LOVE EDWARD CULLEN!!!!!!!!!

I’d never heard of Twilight before (being from the teeny island of Malta) till I saw a trailer for it recently, then bought books 1 and 2 (am awaiting books 3 and 4).
My heart is breaking, I am now ruined for life knowing I will never find a love as perfect as Edward. No mere mortal man can ever hope to compare !

wow honestly at first i had no interest for twilight until (thank god for her) my best friend finally reached my limits and so i finally took interest into the book and since then my whole perspective of the twilight saga has changed!! this book is a wish come true!! IM IN LOVE!! (LOL) so next summer (i honseslty dont know i if i can wait that long) im going to forks with my best amiga for her bday and were going to visit all the sights were twilight was filmed and hopefully theyll still be filming new moon so we can visit the set!!

I was just at Forks for 4th of July. I can’t believe that the tiny town of Forks that I’ve been to so many times is famous. And I can’t believe so many people want to see it! Amazing. When I read the books and heard all the towns that I live near it was awesome. And to know what/where she was talking about was fun! I loved her series. I couldn’t put it down. I bought the first one on the 13th of this month and just finished the 4th one today. Like I said…I couldn’t put them down!
unfortunatly i won`t be able to vist forks for the next 5 years or so.i love the books so much and i want to see forks but i can`t:(i live in germany [edit] and here we haven`t got the last book right now still the first three.i hate it to live here in berlin!
I just have to say that after reading the ENTIRE series in less than a week, i am forever changed! I am looking @ moving to forks in about two years & visiting by next summer. I am sooo excited! I am a little worried about moving from Phoenix,AZ with a population of over a million and a half to a population of three thousand!!! Also something i am a little worried about is the weather… i guess im tired of the sun anyway(:

Me & a friend ‘re bringin’ the motorcycles out to Forks sometime this week; probably Tuesday. We’ll be the ones on the back, not drivin’; Keep an eye out to us! We’re so excited!
I’ve been planning to move to the Seattle/Olympia/Tacoma area for years. It’s looking likely that I’ll make Forks my home, once I finish college… Not for the vampire aspect, per say, but all that rain! I hope it’s true; I adore the rain =].
Your town looks absolutely amazing. Ever since I read the Twilight series, I was curious. I googled Forks to see if it was indeed real…and of course I was pleasantly surprised. I fell in love (just from the pics) and I am trying to convince my hubby to move! seriously! I have completely convinced myself that I belong there. I hope that you all like transplants from Louisiana! What sort of job market do you have there? I am in the medical field, but wouldn’t object to something else. My husband has always wanted to own his own restaurant..great cajun cook! I know that I am dreaming big, but it doesn’t hurt to get everything lined out first

Maybe one of these days I will visit forks but who knows.I love the books very much..I read all 4 books in 4 days and I had a baby to take care of at the same time.Needless to say I got about 5 hours of sleep in those 4 days.

I’m in Jacksonville, FL… I’m glad that another town has become the center of attention for once. I will be visiting Forks sometime within the next couple of years.. Possibly when my husband is stationed in Cali and we’re a little closer. I’m eager to see this place that Bella hated so much in the beginning.
