Fans Flock to Forks!

Friday, 12 September 2008 Written by Erik & Cari

Thanks to KIRO TV’s (Seattle, WA) Karen O’Leary for this great video on the craziness happening in Forks, WA this weekend. Cool interviews with many local notables, including the Chamber’s own Marcia Bingham and Mike Gurling.

The piece begins (well, after the commercial) with a scene from the parking lot right in front of the Forks Chamber of Commerce headquarters, where “Bella’s” truck is usually parked. Our favorite part of the video, though, is the perspective from the guy with the lip full of chew. Thanks for that . . . .
It’s supposed to be on the news tonight (in the Pacific Northwest it’s usually Channel 7) if you’re not heading out for a bonfire on the beach or something like that. Incredible day in Forks today!!

Had a great time in Forks! Just sad to have missed the Cullens. Their road is so hard to find. Writing to see if anyone has info on the ladies selling the charm bracelets in the first booth at the park that day. I'd like to buy another one.

Hello from Forks! Believe it or not there are plenty of Twilight fans right here in Forks so it is doubly exciting to see the fans coming and visiting our little town..I had the chance to have a couple of girls stay in our home from SLC ut and took them around and we had a wonderful time. So WELCOME to our town!

Haha, I love how the sign says "...Welcomes Race Fans and Vampires". It's so great that the books have really upped the level of tourists that go to Forks. How did Stephenie Meyer Day go? I hope I can make it next year.
