The Forks Chamber of Commerce's Annual "Wine and Cheese" Fundraiser is happening this Saturday, November 14, 2009, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Funds generated from the event are used to offset the costs of operating our Visitor Information Center and this website. In addition to delicious wine and cheese tastings, there will be a silent auction and "Best of the Year" awards. This year's theme is, yup, "A 3-Hour Tour," so we're packing shades, tanning butter, etc. Everyone is invited--head on down to the Downtown Forks Bank of America building (481 S. Forks Avenue) this Saturday to join in the fun!
It's Makah Days in Neah Bay this weekend! The Makah Nation invites everyone to join in their 84th Annual Makah Days Celebration this weekend, August, 22-24th. The event begins at noon Friday, August 22nd and continues throughout the weekend.
All motorcyclists are welcome to join the inaugural Rainforest Run August 16th and 17th. This new run is the only one on the Olympic Peninsula and it’s a first for Forks. All forms of 2-wheel transportation are welcome at this family-oriented event.

It’s time for the latest installment of the Twilight saga. And what better place to buy your copy than in Forks? And it’s even raining, just for atmosphere . . . .
You’ll find us camped out somewhere between the Fern Gallery and Chinook Pharmacy, right there on Forks Avenue in Downtown Forks.
West End Thunder (aka WET) presents more smokin’ drag races August 16th and 17th right there at the Municipal Airport at the south end of town on Highway 101. In addition to the 1/8 mi. drags, there will be show and shines and other events coordinated with the Rainforest Run, which is also happening that weekend.
The 257-ft. long “tall ship” Gloria recently stopped off of Neah Bay on its way from area tall ship festivals. The 40-year-old, three-masted ship serves as a training school for naval and marine officers of the Columbian armed forces. Thanks to Chris Cook and the Forks Forum, there’s a well-done slide show of the visit for all to enjoy.
Thanks to KIRO TV’s (Seattle, WA) Karen O’Leary for this great video on the craziness happening in Forks, WA this weekend. Cool interviews with many local notables, including the Chamber’s own Marcia Bingham and Mike Gurling.
Thanks to the Peninsula Daily News and Paige Dickerson for this local coverage of Stephenie Meyer Day in Forks. The Forks Forum also has some great photos and information already up on their site (thanks Chris Cook!). It appears the event has been a resounding success!
